Interior formatting (also called typesetting) ensures your manuscript is properly laid out for print and global distribution.
Formatting is about presentation and layout — not editing.

What Interior Formatting Includes

Our Professional Text Layout Service prepares your manuscript for print-ready production.

We will:

  • Resize your manuscript to the selected trim size

  • Select an appropriate professional font style and size

  • Adjust side, top, and bottom margins

  • Set consistent paragraph indents

  • Adjust line spacing where required

  • Insert chapter headers

  • Insert or correct page numbers

  • Fully justify text (left-to-right, top-to-bottom)

  • Remove widows and orphans

  • Ensure proper book flow and visual balance

The result is a clean, professional interior ready for printing and distribution.

What Formatting Does Not Include

Formatting does not include:

  • Editing or proofreading

  • Correcting typos

  • Rewriting content

  • Reorganizing chapters

  • Creating missing paragraph or section breaks

  • Renumbering chapters or subsections

  • Changing the order of content

These services fall under Editing, which is offered separately.

If your manuscript requires structural correction, we recommend requesting an editing quote before formatting begins.

  • Extensive bullet points or numbered lists

  • Graphics or image placement

  • Tables or charts

  • Academic or technical formatting

Each manuscript is evaluated individually.

Styling & Design Preferences

If you want a specific:

  • Font style

  • Layout structure

  • Chapter design

  • Interior styling

You must specify this at the time of order.

If no specific styling is requested, our design team will apply a layout that best suits your book based on genre and professional standards.

Revisions requested after formatting has been completed may incur additional fees.

Important File Ownership Notice

The cost of formatting and design work covers the creation of print-ready files for use within our printing and distribution network.

While you retain full copyright ownership of your written content:

  • You do not own the final print-ready production files created by us.

  • These files remain part of our production system.

  • Releasing print-ready production files for independent printing may incur additional charges.

This is standard industry practice, similar to how authors do not own printing plates at offset printing facilities.
